Access Control Systems

Control access within one accountable security environment

Advantor Access Control Systems help organizations control who enters protected facilities, where each person is authorized to go, and when that access is permitted. We design, build, integrate and sustain access control environments that combine credential authentication, entry-point control, permission management, event monitoring, and detailed audit records. When integrated with intrusion detection, video surveillance, and the Advantor Suite for Networks, access activity becomes part of a unified security operating environment.

Secure Credential Authentication

Advantor Access Control Systems can support multiple credential and authentication methods according to the security requirements of the facility.

Access cards
Personal identification numbers
Card-only authentication
Card-plus-PIN authentication
Card-plus-PIN-plus-biometric authentication
Proximity cards
Smart cards
Multi-bit credential formats
CAC/PIV-compatible applications

Authentication policies can be applied according to the location, individual, schedule, threat level, or protected asset.

Permission and Access-Level Management

Access rights can be assigned by role, responsibility, approved location, and authorized schedule.

100,000Users supported
32,000Access levels
Role-based permissions
Time- and schedule-based access
Door and entry-point control
Visitor escort management
Turnstile control
Mantrap configurations
Free-exit or card-controlled-exit options
Anti-passback
Global anti-passback across facilities
Two-person rules
Vehicle entry-control point logic
Real-time access-event monitoring

Integrated ID Badging Systems

Advantor ID Badging Systems support the enrollment, production, issuance, management, expiration, and deactivation of personnel credentials. Integration with access-control programming connects the identity represented on the badge with the individual's approved movement through the facility.

  • Drag-and-drop badge design
  • Custom badge formats
  • Personnel photo capture and import
  • Logo, emblem, and graphic import
  • Barcode printing
  • Magnetic-stripe card support
  • Wiegand card support
  • Proximity card support
  • Tamper-resistant badge production
  • User-definable data fields
  • User-definable check boxes
  • Automatic pass-number incrementing
  • Default values for frequently used fields
  • Badge expiration and user deletion rules
  • Ethernet networking for multiple badging and viewing stations

The system can also support established badge formats such as AF-75 visitor passes, AF-1199 restricted-area badges, and AF-354 civilian identification cards. AF-1199 security overlays can be supported with selected printers and appropriate configurations.

Efficient Enrollment and Visitor Management

Advantor badging applications help reduce repetitive data entry and support efficient credential administration. Records for pre-sponsored or previous visitors can be recalled, while screens can be configured to show only the active fields required for a particular badge format. Personnel records can include administrative information, badge type, credential dates, and other user-defined information. Administrators can search by standard or custom fields to quickly locate the correct record.

Reporting and Audit Trails

Access-control and badging activity creates an important record of who entered a protected location and who issued or modified a credential.

  • Entry and exit histories
  • Real-time movement viewing
  • Operator login audits
  • Badge-production audit trails
  • Issuing-operator identification
  • Deleted-user reports
  • Entry Authorization List reports
  • Tracked-ID reports
  • Parameter-based report scheduling
  • Searchable personnel and credential data

Unique operator accounts and configurable authority levels help protect administrative functions and establish accountability.

Integrated Alarm and Video Response

When access control is integrated with ASN, operators can monitor access-related events alongside intrusion alarms, facility graphics, and video surveillance. A forced door, denied credential, or other access event can be presented with associated location information and available camera views. This integration helps security personnel assess whether an event is an administrative issue, attempted unauthorized access, or part of a broader security incident.
