ADVANTOR AWARDED CONTRACT TO UPGRADE
BASE-WIDE SECURITY SYSTEM AT CHARLESTON AIR
FORCE BASE
ORLANDO, FL July 16, 2007 -- Advantor Systems
Corporation (ASC) has been awarded the contract
to upgrade the base-wide alarm system at
Charleston AFB to the Advantor Suite for
Networks Version 5.0 (ASN 5.0). ASC shall
provide all labor, design engineering,
equipment, programming, and transportation to
perform troubleshooting, repair, replacement,
testing, fit and finish, and turnover necessary
to upgrade the base’s existing Intrusion
Detection System and all related equipment to an
Air Force Approved System.
The integrated security monitoring system will
provide the 437th Security Forces Squadron with
the capability to assess alarms and initiate
appropriate responses in a manner that will aid
in preventing damage, destruction, or
unauthorized access to the resource. ASN 5.0
will also operate under all climate and
environmental conditions. It will be configured
with capability for integration of multiple
access levels, badging systems, and card readers
meeting FIP 201 standards, PIV II compliance
utilizing Common Access Cards and pin code, and
will be HSPD-12 compliant with anti-pass
capability that can run in parallel or function
separately, thereby providing utmost flexibility
in user-defined conditions for sequencing the
opening and closing of doors and gates.
The ASN 5.0 monitoring platform provides
seamless integration of all security functions.
The upgraded Intrusion Detection System will
allow for future growth of access/entry control,
intrusion detection, monitoring/reporting,
system administration and integration of all
applicable existing equipment for protection of
Charleston AFB mission assets. Advantor's
monitoring systems feature a truly integrated,
multi-tasking database that provides one
centralized system with unlimited expansion.
ASN 5.0 utilizes dynamic, event-driven displays
of graphical facility maps for immediate visual
assessment, recording, and notification of alarm
conditions. The system supports unlimited
routing and re-routing of alarms, is capable of
displaying static alarm points and dynamic icons
and can control third party devices through
sequential actions. With high-performance,
industrial equipment and an available fully
redundant architecture, our ASN provides around
the clock security and reliability in the most
demanding environments.
