ADVANTOR RECEIVES PRESTIGIOUS AIR FORCE
SECURITY APPROVAL
ORLANDO, FL August 13, 2007 – Advantor Systems
Corporation (ASC), has successfully completed
rigorous testing at the Certified Air Force Test
Site C-3, located at Eglin AFB for its Advantor
Suite for Networks Version 5.0 (ASN 5.0)
integrated security system. Advantor's ASN 5.0
is now recognized by the US Air Force as an
approved Command, Control, and Display system
for Intrusion Detections Systems (IDS) and Entry
Control Systems (ECS). This approval spans the
protection of PL-1 to PL-4 resources.
ASC is one of only two companies to achieve this
approval and the only small business
manufacturer of USAF-approved IDS systems. ASC
continues to play a key role in national
security by providing advanced security
technologies to meet the needs of large-scale,
high security integrated system proprietary
users in the military, government and commercial
market place.
Grant Herring, Vice President of DoD Sales at
ASC, commenting on the Air Force approval said,
"We are in an aggressive move to migrate all of
our Air Force installations to the new upgrade.
The upgrade will provide a fully certified,
state-of-the-art system with much improved
capability. We have recently completed the
integration of ground based radars at McChord
and Ellsworth AFBs using XML integration, and
are planning on accomplishing this effort at
several other locations. We are proud to
continue to play a key role in the war on
terrorism by providing this advanced security
solution.”
The ASN 5.0 is a single, shared database that
allows true integration of all monitoring
functions, including intrusion detection,
access/entry control, ID badging, facility
graphics, ground based radar target tracking,
and CCTV for immediate visual assessment of
alarms. ASN 5.0 is the first annunciator to have
included the XML interface and network enabled
configurations, enabling integration of multiple
detection systems as well as emerging
technologies.
Although leading edge technologies are employed,
ASN 5.0 remains compatible with existing legacy
equipment, allowing for a more cost-efficient
system upgrade vs. complete system replacement.
In addition to communication via ERADs or via
dedicated phone lines, the ASN 5.0 has the
ability to communicate across a LAN or fiber
optic infrastructure, allowing quicker, more
reliable monitoring of individual facilities.
The standard configuration utilizes a primary
and secondary server operating on Windows 2003.
This configuration takes advantage of the cost
savings of co-locating the servers in a
Certified Console from which the operators
control the system. ASN 5.0 is DCID 6/9
compliant for use in SCI Facilities.
The Advantor organization has been singularly
focused on the electronic security industry
since its inception in 1965. Throughout its
history, the company has been at the forefront
of security technology, pioneering industry
innovations such as audio-based intrusion
detection systems, computerized central
monitoring stations, remote downloading of
programs to microprocessor-based alarm systems
and the complete integration of a full range of
security services into a single security
network. A customer focused approach coupled
with a broad range of technical solutions has
been the foundation for company growth, with
projects ranging from securing over 1,000
military sites world wide to extensive
development of the Eastern European and Asian
markets.
